Operational visibility

How to structure daily visibility so teams stay aligned across departments.

5 min read

The goal

Operational visibility means leadership can answer: What’s on track? What’s behind? What’s blocked? — without waiting for manual updates.

Daily signals to watch

Pick a small set of signals your team agrees to check. Keep it consistent.

  • Results posting progress (by class/subject)
  • Review/moderation status
  • Publishing readiness
  • Attendance signals (if enabled)
  • Exceptions that need approval

Weekly rhythm

A short weekly rhythm prevents term-end pressure.

  • 10-minute Monday check-in: confirm priorities and blockers
  • Mid-week follow-up: unblock delayed classes
  • Friday status: ensure next week’s targets are realistic

Escalation rules

Visibility only works if it leads to action. Agree on escalation rules and stick to them.

  • When a class is behind, who gets notified first?
  • How long before leadership is alerted?
  • What is the approved exception process (e.g., missing marks)?
